Which contract type?

The type of rental contract sets out the rights and obligations of both you and your tenant. Hospi Housing automatically suggests the type that fits your situation (usually the hospita contract), but you're free to choose. We work with five contract types, plus the option to upload your own contract.

The five contract types

Which type fits depends on two things: whether the accommodation is self-contained (its own entrance, kitchen and bathroom) or has shared facilities, and whether you rent for an indefinite or a fixed period.

• The hospita contract: you rent out a room in the home you live in yourself (usually recommended).
• Independent – indefinite
• Independent – fixed term (with an optional diplomatic clause)
• Shared facilities – indefinite
• Shared facilities – fixed term
