The four contract types

Renting out a property you don't live in yourself? Then you choose from four contract types, depending on whether the accommodation is self-contained (its own entrance, kitchen and bathroom) or has shared facilities, and whether you rent for an indefinite or a fixed term:

• Independent – indefinite
• Independent – fixed term (note: only under conditions and for specific groups)
• Shared facilities – indefinite
• Shared facilities – fixed term (only under conditions)

Payments

Hospi Housing facilitates the contract process, but rent payments run directly between you and your tenant. Our advice:

• Set up automatic debit or fixed transfers
• Include a clear payment date in the contract
• Manage deposits separately from rent payments
