Other municipalities in Noord-Holland

The national rules for hospita rental apply throughout Noord-Holland. If you rent out one room while living there yourself and sharing the facilities, that is almost everywhere permit-free, and you benefit from the national room-rental tax exemption.

Differences per municipality

Larger and student cities such as Amstelveen, Alkmaar and Hilversum have their own housing ordinance with a conversion permit and quotas for renting to three or more unrelated people. For classic hospita rental this rarely applies.
