Looking for a room in the Netherlands? Hospi Housing connects you with verified hosts: homeowners who rent out a room in their own home. This is called hospitaverhuur (home-sharing): you're not just renting a room, you're joining someone's household.

How it works, step by step

1. Create a free account: Sign up at hospihousing.com with your email address. It takes less than 2 minutes
2. Complete your profile: Let hosts know who you are: your study or work, your hobbies, and what you're looking for. Add a clear profile photo. The more complete your profile, the better your chances
3. Search for housing: Browse available housing on our interactive map and use filters to narrow down by location, price, and availability
4. Show interest: Found a room you like? Send the host a personal message explaining who you are and why you're interested
5. Chat & connect: Get to know the host through our secure chat. Ask about the room, the house, and what living together would look like
6. Schedule a viewing: If it clicks in the chat, arrange a viewing, either in person or via video call
7. Match & move in: If you both feel it's a good fit, you sign a contract and pick up the keys. Welcome home!

What does it cost?

• Creating an account: Free
• Browsing rooms: Free
• Rental support services: A one-time €295 fee, only when you successfully match with a host. No room means no pay. Read more about rental support services
