How matching works (hosts)

As a host on Hospi Housing, you're in control of who comes to live with you. The matching process is set up so you can choose the right tenant calmly and thoughtfully.

How it works

  1. Candidates show interest: Once your listing is live, room seekers can show interest in your room. You'll get a notification.
  2. View profiles: Look through the profiles of interested candidates: who are they, what do they do, what are they looking for? Take your time to go through this.
  3. Start a conversation: Does a candidate appeal to you? Start a chat through the platform. Ask questions, get to know each other, and see if your expectations match.
  4. Schedule a viewing: Does it click in the chat? Then schedule a viewing. This is the moment to meet in person.
  5. Choose: After the viewing, you decide whether to proceed. No pressure, no rush. It's your home.

How long does it take on average?

That varies per situation. Some hosts find a match within a week, others deliberately take a bit more time. On average, our hosts find a suitable tenant within 2-4 weeks. What plays a role:
