At Hospi Housing, every host is personally verified. That's what sets us apart from other platforms: we know our hosts. Below we explain how the intake process works and what you can expect.
Why verification?
Our tenants need to trust that every room on Hospi Housing is real, safe, and reliable. Verification is essential for that:
- It protects tenants against fraudulent listings
- It gives you more credibility and visibility as a host
- It leads to better matches, because we understand your situation and what you're looking for
How does the intake process work?
- Complete your profile: First, fill in your profile and room details as completely as possible. Upload photos of the room and the shared spaces.
- Schedule intake: Book your intake interview through the platform, at a time that suits you. You manage the appointment yourself in your profile, so you can always reschedule and you stay in control. The conversation takes about 15-20 minutes via video call.
- The conversation: During the intake we discuss:
- Your home and the room you want to rent out
- Your motivation for becoming a host
- Your expectations and house rules
- Practical matters like availability and rent price
- Verification: After a positive conversation, your account is verified and you can start receiving candidates right away.
How long does verification take?
Once you've scheduled an intake and the conversation goes well, you're usually verified the same day. The only thing that takes time is finding a suitable slot, so the sooner you book, the sooner you're live.
