Other municipalities in Zeeland

In Zeeland most of the regulatory pressure is in Vlissingen. Renting out one room while living there yourself falls almost everywhere under the exemption and is permit-free.

Differences per municipality

Vlissingen is the strictest: a conversion permit is needed when renting to more than one household plus one person, with a maximum of 10% per street and minimum floor-area requirements. Other municipalities such as Goes and Terneuzen have lighter or no room-conversion rules.
