Other municipalities in Friesland

Outside Leeuwarden the rules in Friesland are generally light. Renting out one room while living there yourself is almost everywhere permit-free.

Differences per municipality

Heerenveen long allowed room rental only in a small central area; many smaller Frisian municipalities have no room-conversion quota. For hospita rental with a single lodger this is rarely an obstacle.
