Your profile is complete, what's next?

Personal Verification

Before you can start looking for a new tenant through Hospi Housing, your profile needs to be verified. We do this to keep our platform a safe place for both tenants and hosts. The verification takes place during a personal online intake. In this approximately 30-minute conversation, we also answer all your questions and make sure that you and the available space are ready for rental.

Online intake Hospi Housing

Already scheduled an intake during your registration? Then we will contact you at the agreed time. Haven't scheduled an intake yet? Go to your profile and schedule it. Once you are verified, the 'Verified by Hospi Housing' badge will appear (see image). This badge is also visible to future tenants so they know that personal verification has been performed.

Publish Advertisement

Next, complete your advertisement: make sure all fields are filled, you have provided a description of yourself/the household and the space for rent, and you have added good photos of the space. Then there is just one more step: publish the advertisement!

Publish your advertisement to start your search for a tenant

Start your search

Accept Chat Requests

After your advertisement is published, potential candidates who meet your search criteria can show their interest via a chat request. Accept a chat request to start the chat and get in touch. You don't have to choose your tenant yet, that comes later.

Chat with Candidates

Having a good connection with your future tenant is important. Use the chat to get to know each other and plan a (digital) viewing. Ask about someone's background, interests, and plans during their stay.

Plan an Introduction

Before inviting someone to rent a space in your home, it is important to have spoken to them personally. We understand that it may not always be possible for someone to come and see the space in person. This is not necessary. An introduction can also be done well over the phone or digitally. If there's a mutual click from both sides? Great! Then you're ready for the next step.

Get to know your tenant before the rental period

Confirm the Match

Confirm Tenant and Rental Period

Have you reached an agreement? Go to 'Matches', click 'Confirm Rental Period' and select a start and end date. Once the tenant accepts the invitation, the match is confirmed and you can start drafting the contract through the platform!

Draft and Sign Contract

After the match is confirmed, you can draft and sign the contract on the platform. Hospi Housing uses the homestay contract, tailored to the needs of our hosts and tenants. With this type of contract, as a host, you have the option to terminate the lease without reason for the first 9 months, so you never get stuck with a tenant.

Set up House Rules

With homestay rental, you share part of the house where you live. Choosing the right tenant is therefore very important, but so is making good agreements prior to the rental period. This can be done verbally, but also by, for example, setting up house rules.

Good preparations make a warm welcome for your new tenant

Prepare for Your New Tenant!

The most important work is done. By the time your tenant is about to arrive, it is important to be well prepared. Read more about the arrival of your new tenant in this blog.
