I currently live alone in a spacious, modern apartment. After living here for about three months, I’ve realised that the apartment is actually a little too big for just one person. As a young professional, it is also quite a commitment to maintain the apartment entirely on my own. That’s why I’m looking for someone who would genuinely like to share the space and make it feel like a home together. I’m not really looking for two people who simply happen to live under the same roof. I enjoy having some interaction in the house, cooking dinner together, having a good conversation after work, or spontaneously deciding to watch a movie or grab a drink. I grew up in a family where spending time together, having dinner as a family and creating a warm atmosphere at home were important. I’d love to bring a little bit of that feeling into my home as well. For me, a perfect week might include some healthy meals, a shared dinner, a great conversation about life, and plenty of space for both of us to do our own thing. I’m also looking for someone who is single. I’ve previously lived with a couple and noticed that I sometimes felt like I was intruding on their private life, even though it was my own home too. I’d therefore prefer to share the apartment with one person who is in a similar stage of life. I enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle and like keeping the house clean and organised. At the same time, I’d love to live with someone who enjoys making the apartment feel cosy, personal and maybe adding some plants, decorations or little touches that make it feel like a shared home. I’m definitely not against having friends over, going out, or having fun evenings together. I’m just not looking for a student lifestyle where partying during the week and coming home at 2 a.m. is a regular thing. I’m hoping to find someone who is social, independent and enjoys a good balance between having your own life and sharing a home with someone. Ultimately, I’m looking for a housemate who could become more than just a housemate: someone with whom it feels natural to share a home, have dinner together, talk about life and occasionally do something fun. Who may eventually even turn into a lifelong friend.
