Room of 24 m² in Utrecht, furnished, available from 1 December 2026, €900/month, with a live-in host.
A sunny, bright, and pleasant attic with a 14 m2 bedroom plus a 10 m2 living/working space. The bedroom, which features central heating, contains a large wardrobe. The flooring is laminate, and there are many windows, three of which can be opened. The space next to the room can be used as a living room, office, and/or storage. This is a large, bright space with two Velux windows and built-in cupboards, and is electrically heated. The washing machine and dryer in this room are for shared use, but this is subject to consultation. The ancillary room (with bookcase and desk in the photo) is still being cleared out. The bathroom is on the first floor. Both the room and the ancillary room can be locked. The room in this charming 1930s home is situated in a green, village-like, pleasant, quiet, and very popular family neighborhood on. The street is known for its pleasant living environment, with plenty of greenery and a friendly atmosphere. Two shopping centers for daily groceries are within walking and cycling distance. Additionally, you can reach the city center of Utrecht by bike in no time. Public transport is excellently organized, with very frequent bus connections practically on the doorstep and a train station an 8-minute bike ride away. The arterial roads are also quickly and easily accessible. Free parking is available right outside the door. For nature lovers: you can easily cycle outside the city, for example to the Amelisweerd nature reserve, ideal for walking, exercising, or swimming. The Vaartsche Rijn runs right around the corner towards the city center, offering opportunities for swimming, stand-up paddleboarding, or relaxing on the quay. There are also various cozy restaurants and cafes located along the water. The room is situated at the quiet rear of the house, ensuring extra privacy. Behind the house lies a – by city standards – remarkably spacious south-west facing garden. This allows you to enjoy the afternoon and evening sun. A tenant with a green thumb who enjoys maintaining the garden and helping it flourish is therefore especially welcome.
My two children have moved out, so I have a lot of spare space in my house. I am not home often. It would be a waste if the house stood empty. My children come home for a night or a weekend occasionally. My son comes to drum for an hour 1 or 2 times a week, but this is during the day and by arrangement. For a few days a week, the extension (and therefore the garden) is unavailable due to my work from home. This is also during the day and by arrangement. I am preferably looking for a responsible person who works outside the home and doesn't mind putting out the trash occasionally and helping to keep the house clean. In return, you get a lot of privacy and extra living space. There is a second room tenant on the first floor.
