We live in a suburb of Rotterdam called Nesselande, in a spacious detached house with a garden by the water. It's a lovely neighborhood with many families and children, and virtually no crime. You'll have your own room and bathroom on the second floor, along with free internet access. We're just a 5-minute bike ride from a subway station, a beach, and a small shopping center. The subway takes you directly to Erasmus University in 20 minutes and to the city center of Rotterdam in 30 minutes. For the past three years, we've hosted students who combine their studies at Erasmus University with household work in our family. They assisted for about 12 hours a week in exchange for free accommodation and dinners. We're looking for a new student who can move in in the beginning of January 2027 and stay until 15 July 2027. The household tasks consist of cooking dinner from Monday to Thursday, preparing food, 6 hours of weekly cleaning, and helping with laundry and ironing. You won't need to do grocery shopping for our family, and the cooking is quite simple. Because two of my children have a food allergy, we're looking for someone who is an easy eater (no special food requirements, no vegetarian). We're hoping to find someone who is friendly, energetic, organized, and trustworthy, someone who is a serious student and can balance their studies with household duties. We will consider your college schedule when planning household tasks, but it's important that you're available Monday to Thursday evenings to prepare dinner (we usually eat around 6:30-7:00 pm). While 12 hours might seem like a lot, you'll save at least 5-6 hours a week because you won't need to do grocery shopping for your own dinner, prepare your own dinners, or do your own laundry. So, the extra time helping us out is only about 6-7 hours a week. If you're interested, please get in touch!
