Tip 1: Eat and cook together
Whether you spend much time together or not, no one ever got worse from a cup of tea or some delicious food. To give you some tips: try the delicious Dutch pancakes or be inspired by a local dish from your tenant! 🍝🥒
Tip 2: Learn about their culture
If your tenant is from another country or region than yourself, this can be an interesting opportunity to learn from each other. Dive into their culture to better understand their way of living, traditions and etiquette. You might even learn a new language 🌍

Tip 3: Undertake activities
No matter how big or small, doing an activity together will guaranteed be fun. Give them a tour around town, take them to a typical Dutch place or play a boardgame together. Too much for you? Drinking a cup of tea once a week can also be enough.

Tip 4: Respect each other's privacy
For a homestay experience that is appreciated by both sides, it is very important to respect each other's privacy and indepency. Don't force your plans upon the other, but always communicate in a kind and respectful manner.
