The Dutch housing market remains under pressure, especially for students, young professionals, and first-time renters. But new research commissioned by ASN Bank shows something hopeful: many Dutch people are increasingly open to sharing space and supporting creative housing solutions.

According to the research, nearly 60% of respondents support stimulating homesharing and homestay rentals (“hospitaverhuur”) as a way to reduce housing shortages.
