Permission & cooperation
Home-sharing in corporation housing requires permission from the housing corporation. Hospi Housing helps set up a policy that works for everyone involved.
Why is permission needed?
Most housing corporation rental contracts include a ban on subletting. Home-sharing is technically a form of subletting, so the resident needs permission for it. Without that permission, the resident risks breaching their contract.
Cooperation models
We offer several models, depending on what the corporation prefers:
Model 1: Individual permission
Residents request permission on a case-by-case basis. Hospi Housing supports the resident with the application and provides the necessary documentation.
Model 2: Policy-based permission
The corporation sets up a policy allowing home-sharing under certain conditions. Residents who meet those conditions can start without an individual application.
Model 3: Active collaboration
The corporation actively promotes home-sharing among its residents, together with Hospi Housing. This model delivers the most results and gives the corporation the most control.
What does Hospi Housing document?
- Conditions for home-sharing in corporation housing
